MEET MISS JAMIE
Qualified Royal Academy of Dance ballet teacher, with over 30 years of dance experience and 15 years of teaching in the United Kingdom and Dubai
Starting off at 3 years old and following her older sister's love of dance, Miss Jamie soon found a passion for performing arts and in particular ballet! Miss Jamie enjoyed performing in festivals, shows, and pantomimes throughout her childhood, where she found her voice on stage in the form of dance. Being quite a shy youngster, Miss Jamie knows first hand the confidence boost ballet can give young boys and girls.
After gaining work abroad through dance, Miss Jamie realized her real passion was passing her skills onto others. Seeing students improve their techniques, gain confidence and grow within the dance industry. Because of this Miss Jamie sought out qualifications through the extremely prestigious Royal Academy of Dance, knowing their syllabus has been designed to train at the highest standards of ballet. Once Miss Jamie gained her teaching qualifications from the RAD, she was quickly snapped up by The Ballet Centre in Dubai, where she enjoyed 5 wonderful years working with over 1,000 ballet students (one being the Sheikh's own daughter) and becoming the head of ballet for the whole school.
Miss Jamie is now back home in Shropshire and able to bring all of her years of experience, knowledge and love for ballet to you through Zoom. Whether it’s for fun and fitness, improving current ballet skills, learning from the beginning, or following the RAD set syllabus, Miss Jamie is here to help!
